First of all, I hate hate hate leaving a bad review. I generally only review if I love a product. My mother taught me that if I can't say anything nice...keep it to myself. But for once, I have to speak up. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review. But my conscience wouldn't let me pass by this product when I was leaving feedback. If I can save somebody 200 bucks, a person who really can't afford to throw that money away, then I'll go ahead and give my opinion.I usually buy Egyptian cotton, but I like to be green and clean, plus I had heard that bamboo was so nice, soft, cool, and comfortable that I decided to give bamboo a shot. I bought one set from Cariloha and another from Bamboo Tranquility. When I first got the Cariloha set, they seemed really nice, We put them on the bed and they seemed to be very soft and fit well. Then...I washed them. Yes, I followed the instructions with delicate cold wash and no heat delicate dry. If I'm going to dump 200 dollars on a set of sheets, of course I'll be careful. They shrank so badly that we could no longer get them on the bed, and they had become extremely thin. So, unfortunately, I can't speak for how comfy they are as we never really got to sleep on them. After wrestling to put them on our bed after a wash, hubby and I finally gave up. If we hadn't stopped, I think they would have torn anyway. We had dumped all the packaging as I didn't expect this to happen on sheets this expensive, so we are out of luck, two hundred dollars poorer, and a whole lot smarter. Luckily, the Bamboo Tranquility sheets did a little better, and they were less expensive, so we can cycle in a pair of bamboo sheets occasionally. The Cariloha pair became very expensive dust rags. Not that they don't do the job when dusting furniture, but I'd much rather buy regular dust rags at a cheaper price instead of buying something advertised as "luxury" sheets for a pretty hefty price, and then end using them to clean wood.So the moral of this story is...if you are like me and value your sleep, do not pay the price for Cariloha. You'll end up staying awake wondering why in the world you paid that much for a pair of sheets you could never even try. In my opinion, something this expensive should be good EVERY SINGLE TIME. If a company is going to charge luxury price, make sure to deliver the goods. These were sold by Cariloha and fulfilled by Amazon Prime, so it wasn't a "forgery" product or "bad batch." It's their product. If you're just thinking about switching to bamboo in place of your Egyptian cotton...just don't do it. Or don't do it with this company. Just because you spend bigger $$ doesn't always mean you are getting a good product. Be prepared for plenty of shrinkage, because it's going to happen. Also be ready for some pilling and flimsier material once they are washed. If you can fit them on your bed after you wash them they may feel amazing, but I can't judge that part since I never slept on them before they became glorified paper towel. So here is my first bad review, and I've been an Amazon shopper for years. But if one person reads my review and it makes them think twice about laying out that much money for something you might never use, then I'm okay with leaving a negative feedback. If you are going to try these sheets, save your packaging and paperwork just in case. I've heard that they do have a guarantee. I'm not sure how difficult it is to get replacements, and my time is valuable enough that I don't want to jump through hoops to try to replace them without the packaging, but it wouldn't matter in my case anyway since they simply won't fit my bed once washed, no matter how delicately I wash and dry them.Good luck and may you find the perfect sheets. I'm still looking.I waited almost 2 years to buy these sheets. $199 is a lot of money to pay for sheets! Yikes! But was OVER JOYED when I saw they were on sale on Amazon. The waiting was over. I was soooo excited! I had done so much research on these and read so many reviews. When I FINALLY got them and washed them up and put them on my bed, they were unlike anything on this PLANET! The softest lightest sheets your body will ever come in contact with! These sheets are AMAZING!! The only problem I have with them is the corners come up from the corners of the bed and I keep having to pull them down and around the bottom. Could the elastic be weak? It’s a little disappointing to have to fix the corners every morning. But overall would soooooo recommend these AMAZING sheets!!Have used these for about 2 weeks....washed them twice. I followed directions and did not add fabric softener or dryer sheets. They are so soft and silky feeling. My husband likes them, too. I was worried that the fitted sheet corners might not be deep enough for my extra thick mattress, but not a problem. I cut the pillowcases down to standard size, as we use several standard pillows instead of king size pillows. (I wish I had had the option to order standard.) I am now going to order a couple more standard pillowcases for the other pillows, as we love the softness. Ivory color a little more yellow than the picture indicated, but they are fine. As with some bamboo pants that I own, the fabric seems to stretch and grow a little with use....not sure why that is, but better than shrinking, I guess. All in all, we love these sheets.I received the sheets on the date they were expected. They are luxurious, lightweight and soft as butter! I washed them in cold water and dried them in the dryer on the regular setting before using them. I was surprised to see the large amount of lint in the lint filter from them. I hope that's ok. We have been sleeping on them for 4 nights....so far so good. My husband has been complaining that he doesn't like the sticky feel of our Sleep Number Bed Sheets so I bought these as a replacement and made them one of his birthday gifts! He loves them and so do I. I hope they last. I probably won't be buying another set for quite a while at the $199 price. So far they seem to be worth it!Exactly what we've been looking for. I saw these a few years back when we were in Key West. I was astounded by how expensive they were, but also by how incredibly soft they were. There are many knock offs that you can find, some are pretty close, some are not close at all. However, you can save yourself a lot of time and experimentation by just buying these. They have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee as well. So do yourself a favor and just go with these.Note: When you take them out of the packaging, they will not feel as soft as when you wash them and put them on your bed. I've read a few snooty reviews at how these only feel like XX thread count Egyptian cotton straight out of the packaging.... Just wash them and they turn into the softest sheets you can imagine.THESE ARE THE BEST SHEETS EVER!!!! I have a closet full of sheets. I have a nerve problem so my skin is very sensitive. Sheets, even 1000 threads, just don't do it any longer. The all feel like sand paper. I tried silk sheets, soft enough, but fought with them falling off the bed. These sheets, when they arrived, I washed them in cold water, no softener, put them in dryer low heat, no softener , dried very fast, put them on the bed. When I went to bed, all I could do was ahhhhhh, ahhhhhh, ahhhhhhh, ahhhhhhh!!!!!!! They are soft, soft, soft. I will be back for more of these sheets, the rest of the sand paper top of the line sheets are headed out of this house. Worth every penny, sorry I did not try them before, but I just could not imagine bamboo???Nunca llegó el producto, ni explicación alguna de porqué. Realmente me sorprendió mucho porque nunca había tenido un problema antes!!!Sheets are soft but find they sleep hot. If you don’t like wrinkles these are not for you.I only use Cariloha bamboo sheets on my bed. They are expensive but well worth the money. They get better with each wash!Love the softness of these sheetsAmazingly soft and cool. My husband calls them magical.
